First off, did you know that Gilt now has a Gilt Taste? So cool! They have everything from seafood to wine to cheese to an amazing pantry section with oils and vinegars...I could go on and on. But, what I really got excited about on my last visit was their recipe section where I found this fall drink, the Sidewalker. I don't typically drink beer but this sounds amazing!
Adapted from Damon Boelte, Prime Meats
Makes 1 cocktail
1 ounce apple brandy (such as Laird's)
¾ ounce lemon juice
½ ounce maple syrup
¼ ounce apple cider vinegar
Cold wheat beer (such as Hefeweizen or Weihenstephaner hefeweissbier)
Lemon wedge, to garnish
Pour the brandy, lemon juice, maple syrup and vinegar into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain the cocktail into a chilled, tall glass and top with beer. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
The above recipe is straight from Gilt Taste and there are links in the recipe to maple syrup and apple cider that you can purchase straight from Gilt.

Here are a few things that are inspiring my Thanksgiving table...
This Pewter Tray with Stag Handles and Carving Board is on my lust list! It is $795 but I am in love with it. I saw it in person at Gearys in Beverly Hills while looking for gifts off a registry and it is gorgeous! (Not Kim Kardashian's but this is where she registered if you saw the wedding special.)
I love mixing silver with natural and rustic materials.

The One and Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico is one of my favorite hotels!
The beach, pools and landscaping around the property are breathtaking!
They did an amazing job with the Spanish decor in the rooms.
Love this headboard!
Love the detailing on the doors!
All rooms have a balcony with a comfy daybed which is perfect for afternoon naps and for eating breakfast on in the morning.
This outdoor bar with lanterns might be my favorite part of the whole hotel. It is even more beautiful in person.
Wish I was here!
The spa is so relaxing!
I really loved staying at this hotel, the food, the service and the decor are perfection. I really don't have anything bad to say about the Palmilla. I am dying to go back!
They are hand sewn with velvet and the unwanted stems from pumpkins and squash.
If fall colors and jewel tones don't really match your decor, they have plenty of other colors to choose from like white, greens and browns.

Rah rah ah-ah-ah!
I went to the Decade of Difference concert for the Clinton Foundation last Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl and I am officially obsessed with Lady Gaga! She is such an amazing singer and performer and she is so freaking cool! Lady Gaga stole the show...for sure and, she pushed it just enough without going too far!
While posing in the above picture she said, "Well, I'm having my first real Marilyn moment, I always wanted to have one, and I was hoping that it didn't involve an accident with some pills and a strand of pearls, so here we are."
Which now makes sense as to why she has this Marylin Monroe painting over the fireplace in the house she rents in Bel Air...don't worry people, I found a way to tie this into my blog!

Serena and Lily has a great option that comes in different colors and prints.
Love the wood base on this Wisteria X Bench! And the low price!
The Ballard Designs X Bench is another affordable option that has tons of fabrics to choose from.
Not sure if you could find a place for an X-Bench in your house? See my favorite ways to use an X-Bench below...
If you need extra seating in your living room but don't have enough room...two X-Benches are the perfect solution. Above they had room for a couch, two chairs and two X-Benches but if you don't have enough room for chairs in your living room, I love just using a couple of benches instead!
Love the idea of using X-Benches under a table in a library, a living room or even at the end of a dining table!
Of Course...At the end of a bed...
My favorite use of X-Benches might be two under a console table in an entryway or in a living room.
And how great would this Serena and Lily Parker Bench....

I am a big fan of Circa Lighting and Visual Comfort. I always go to Circa Lighting first when I am on the hunt for lighting. They have a great selection of pendant lights, sconces and chandeliers.
My favorite is the Alabaster Balustrade Lamp!
If you are in the market for a pair of lamps check out their websites and register at La Dolce Vita Blog for a chance to win a pair of your choice of the above four lamps!

Disclaimer - I totally got this idea from yesterday's post on This is Glamorous...but look at how fab this drawer organizer is!
image via This is Glamorous via Style at Home
A couple of months ago I bought some organizers at Target and cleaned up my bathroom drawers. It didn't take long until they were back to a total mess....with the main culprits being brushes and mascara!
I was so excited when I saw this organizer because it has a space for brushes and mascara and it is from IKEA!
You could also use it in the kitchen or an office in your junk drawer and use the brush holders for pens! Why are pens always impossible to locate...maybe this is a solution....probably not because most likely I would still not put them back in the proper place but I might be more inclined to if I had this?
Wow...after drinking coffee at 4:00 in the afternoon...on the third day of a work conference...drawer organizers are SO exciting!
