I don't know what is wrong with me but I am having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit! I think that I focused so much on Thanksgiving that I have nothing left! Last night when I got home from a work holiday party, I opened a Christmas card from my gardener and that was the last straw. I can't let my gardener have more holiday spirit than me! So I walked over the boxes of boxwood garland and wreaths that I received in the mail on Monday, and have yet to open and hang, and went to my magazine stash searching for inspiration to get me in the mood for the holidays!
I found a Veranda from a few years ago with a Christmas spread by Mary McDonald. It is so amazing and I saved it knowing that one day it would come in handy and today is the day!
Nothing says Christmas like peacocks, orange and blue...but this really works. I am in love!!!
How fab is that chandelier and how cool is the table with peacocks and orange topiaries!!
I am always looking for a great Christmas tree topper...duh...just stick a peacock on it and done!
I don't even want to know how much those wood daybeds are worth. I already know how much those throw pillows covered in Scalamandré's Le Tigre silk velvet cost! Love the orange trees!
How fun would it be to walk through this doorway to Christmas dinner. That garland is so detailed and so incredibly gorgeous!!
Mary McDonald stuck with green, white and gold in the dining room...perfection!
I am dying over the sconces on either side of the mirror!
Simple greenery and potted paperwhites on the dining table make the perfect centerpiece. Another amazing chandelier stuffed with greenery.
Hopefully this will be the inspiration that I need to get started on my own holiday decorating. Happy Friday!
