Fun Tip of The Day!

A shade for a sconce or a chandelier shade has a clip-on fitter in the inside that hugs onto the light bulb in order to secure the shade to the light fixture.  Can you see the clip-on fitter showing through the shade above?  When the light is turned on it shows a shadow of two circles.

Now you see it, now you don't!  In the above picture, the clip-on fitter does not show.

Here is another angle with the clip-on fitter showing.  See it now?

And another picture without a pretty!

My super fun tip of the day is to use frosted light bulbs!  When you use clear light bulbs(which are the easiest to find) you can see the inside of the shade showing through, but frosted light bulbs wont let the clip-on fitter show!

Just in case you are wondering, this is the Elkins Sconce from Circa Lighting.  I love all of their lighting!
