Bathroom Beauty

I can't stand it!  How gorg is this bathroom?  Silver, marble, the paneling detail on the wall!

Travel Tuesday - Lungarno Hotel in Florence

We met the nicest newlywed couple while we were in South Africa on Safari.  We received an email the other day asking for our recommendations on places to stay in Florence and now I can't stop thinking about Italy.  As you know, I am obsessed with where we stayed, Il Salviatino...but we also stopped in for a drink at Lungarno and fell in love.  The Lungarno in Florence is owned by the Ferragamos and it is everything you would expect of a hotel owned by the famous fashion family....

Amazing art and sketches hanging on every wall, pleated lamp shades and the classic combination of blue and white are all a common theme throughout the hotel.

All the slipcovers on the furniture have the most amazing details and the navy fringe on the pillows makes my heart flutter.

I go crazy for slipcovers tied with bows and for linens and headboards with a thick border.

These rooms really sum up everything I love!  Silver, blue and white, dark wood, fringe pillows and pleated lamp shades and slipcovers tied with bows, ugh!  Love!

Friday Florals

I just LOVE this image via Mindy Rice.  She does the most amazing florals!

I want these chairs for my wedding!  And the linens, something about them makes me want be to reach into the picture and touch them!

Have a great weekend!

The Perfect Hostess Gift

This is the perfect summer hostess gift!
Here is how to get the look...
$7.99 from IKEA....$7.99 is a pretty rad price for a lantern...and it comes in silver!
These Caspari coctail napkins from Neiman Marcus are cute with or without the personalized monogram.
Your hostess will be happy to make a stiff Gin & Tonic with this small batch tonic from Jack Rudy Cocktail Co.

I am sorry to say this...but I am so over the striped straw craze...and trust me, I have used them a lot!
How about some festive stirrers for a change?  These Navy and White Polka Dot Stirrers are fun if you are going for a preppy look.

Or these Drink Up wood stir sticks would look great in a Gin & Tonic made with the Jack Rudy Cocktail Co tonic.

Happy Friday!  This makes me so excited for Spring.  Have a great weekend and Drink Up!

Obsessed with this image via Veranda.  Sorry it is a little fuzzy but it is still absolutely fabulous.  Richard Hallberg is a genius!  You should grab your coffee and look through his portfolio.

Travel Tuesday - French Villas

Lets add renting a Villa in France to the Travel Bucket List!  I came across these beautiful rental properties on Abercrombie and Kent.  This first villa is Villa Jasmine located near St. Tropez in the Cote d'Azur.  I LOVE the blue shutters!

And the pool!

And the clean living room with french doors opening out to the pool.

And I love this bedroom.  Simple and perfect.

Most of all I love the view out of the bathroom windows!

Next we have La Bastide de Routas which is a working wine estate in the heart of the Var region of Provence.

I could definitely spend some time sipping wine and eating meals at this table while looking out into the vineyards!

I am also loving the decor inside.  I like the formality to it but it is still young and fresh.

If you are renting an estate in Provence, you might as well have it be a little fancy!

I hope you enjoyed my lovely Villa Vacation.  Check out Abercrombie & Kent Villas for more!
